Happy Thanksgiving to my Activerain friends and community.
I made this show on RealEstateShows.com to show my gratitude in honor of Thanksgiving Day 2010.
One reason I use real estate shows is because not only can you create unlimited tours of all your listings for only $125.00 a year but also because you can create personal shows.
- The history of the first Thanksgiving began in September 1620, when 102 passengers aboard the Mayflower ship sailed from Plymouth, England, to the New World.
• The Pilgrims set their sights on land ownership, prosperity and the opportunity to freely practice their Christian faith without the oppression of the Church of England and the Catholic Church.
• In November 1621, Gov. William Bradford organized a celebratory feast with the colony's Native American allies. That first Thanksgiving feast lasted three days.
• President Lincoln scheduled Thanksgiving for the final Thursday in November in 1863 as a time to ask God to heal the nation torn apart by the Civil War.
• President Franklin Roosevelt in 1941 signed a bill making Thanksgiving the fourth Thursday in November.
What are you grateful for this year? Please share.
