Having had a child in a serious auto accident in 2007, I can attest personally to the excellent care she received in Motts Children's Hospital.
The study done each year since 1993, evalutates the hospitals on the following criteria:
- mortality
- medical complications
- patient safety
- average length of stay
- expenses
- profitability
- cash-to-debt ratio
- patient satisfaction
- adherence to clinical standards of care
One of the best things about living in Ann Arbor is the excellent health care available to people throughout the State of Michigan. 
U of M is a teaching hospital and when we were in Motts Childrens Hospital over a year ago, we met people from all over the State of Michigan. The care was excellent.
Right now we are working with 7 Medical doctors and Residents coming in for the next 3-5 years. They are all thrilled to be getting their "match letters" to attend here. We are thrilled to be helping them buy a home or condo in Ann Arbor during their stay.
