Missy, we have a couple of places that are safe havens for unwanted animals. This is a great charity to work with.

Hi Missy...I see we're both supporting causes this evening.  It's good to be a concerned citizen.

I know you are an animal lover.  It's a shame so many don't appreciate the love animals share with us.

I voted, and it looks like you can cast a vote once each day for your favorite shelter.

Hi Missy. What a great cause. I adopted two dogs and a cat from a shelter... so I voted. Thanks. ~ Lana

Missy,

OK, I voted.  Not sure what gets me worse - tales of neglected kids or animals.

As an REO Listing agent it is really sad when we find abandoned animals left behind in vacant homes.

I work with a national organization, "No Paws Left Behind" that specifically addresses these poor animals.  They have a 'no-kill' policy of placing pets, across the country.  Unfortunately, my local shelter puts them down almost as quick as they come in, as they are so over crowded and over utilized with the current crises.

It's sad...
