Michigan vs. Ohio State Today

Leaving for the game at 8:00 AM

We've had a disappointing season...but it is Michigan vs Ohio State....so anything can happen.

Christa and BobLast night @activebob and @christacaulk  went to the Pep Rally at University of Michigan.

I made tuna and macaronni salad. LOL

"Remember 1969" has been the cry around Ann Arbor this week.

It has been 40 years.

Coach Bo Schembechler’s reflections on this match-up are as relevant today as ever.

If anything means anything in the football business, it is the way a team – a collection of men – can perform the way we did against Ohio State in 1969.  It doesn’t happen very often.  Sometimes it never happens – not in a whole lifetime.  Everything has to be right. The time. The place. The conditions. The setting. And the men. We had it all – just once maybe – but we had it that day in November of ’69 .”

All the players from the 1969 are in town and are honorary captains.

Nine years ago ESPN called the Michigan vs Ohio State University game the biggest rivalry in the nation for college football. I know other schools don't "get it".

But we do.

Right?  Elaine and David...my two blogging buddies from OH IO ?

Old plate Mi vs OSUI found this OLD plate in a restaurant, thought it was cool and shot a photo.

GO BLUE !!!

Hi Missy!  I have a client who HAD to be shown homes this morning so that he can be back at noon for THE big game!  We should have a Michigan fan club meet-up group here to watch the game together each year--GO BLUE!

Hey Missy, thanks for the call-out. I was probably at the 1969 game. We had tix to all games and always went to MI away games. I saw all of Archie's homes games and MI games. What a thrill it was to watch him come on the scene. I also was in the Big House when Woody tore up the yard markers. :-(

Yesterday, I was telling a story about our trip up there in '71. I was very, very pregnant and it was so-o-o cold that everyone was bundled up. Your seats were known to be on the skimpy side widthwise, so I always had to make sure I was the first to sit down after a cheer, otherwise I would no longer have a place to sit. ;-)

But as we know, the rivalry while still fun, is just NOT the same as it was with Bo and Woody. BTW, I heard on the news this week that Bo's son lives here in Worthington.

Hi Elaine, oh gosh what a day.

I now know how you felt during the John Cooper years...9-2-1.  Terrible

Here is a great slide show on the Michigan Daily ( the U of M newspaper )

After the last Forcier fumble we left, Christa cried all the way home, but she always does.

I wish I had stayed home and blogged and watched.

The band was great! We ended up tail gaiting right next to my 1.45 M seller, totally unexpectd but fun.

Missy sorry that you did not get the results you wanted on the game. Michigan kept is much closer than in recent years...I know probably not any consolation (:

Missy, I am sorry that Go Blue didn't win.  My son who graduated from Ohio State feels different about the outcome.

I'd like to say congrats Missy! I subscribed to your blog because your testimonial is one of the reasons I joined. I say congrats because this is the first time I have ever sought advice from a Michigan Fan...LOL

I went to College in Midland...man do I miss being that guy in Buckeye gear in a sea of UM fans. Good times!

GO BUCKS!

I really expected more from Michigan after their big win over Notre Dame. If Forcier stays for three or four years they're going to have a very strong offense.
