This week I had Mary McKnight updated my fan page Ann Arbor Real Estate Talk on Facebook. She added my home search site to it.

Mary wrote a post on how to do it on her blog, Sacrilicous Marketing. She has been able to integrate search sites for Tiger Leads, 1ParkPlace, Wolfnet, Z57. But, really she is so smart I am sure she can figure out how to do your search site.
While your over there I also have another new fan page for A2BreakingNews. Pat Kitano created that one for me. I ONLY invited Ann Arbor Area friends to that one, because it is really targeted to everyone in Ann Arbor. Since then I have connected with many Ann Arbor people I did not know before.

I am big on letting people who know what they are doing DO IT, when it comes to programming. Sure I could learn it, but why?
Too busy doing what I do best which is sell real estate.
If you are looking for a face-lift on facebook, give a shout to Mary and Pat, they did an excellent job and I am looking forward to the fruit of it.
Disclosure: Neither Mary or Pat paid me for writing this or even know I did.

Missy, this is great stuff. I am SO INCREDIBLY behind in my enhancements, blogging, etc. for keeping up with my clients. Bad, bad, bad! This is a great idea...wondering if I should create separate fan pages for the areas I specialize in, or would it be too time intensive? Ah, sleep is so overrated!
Hope you're doing well! BTW, I got to meet Christa at RainCamp NYC...she's a sweetheart! :)
Hi Ant...no sleep is not over-rated. We all need beauty sleep.
Actually they are not hard to maintain at all.
I just didn't want to do them. Once set up they just kind of carry on. Especially the Breaking News Site.
I am really targeting Ann Arbor folks with both of them. Thanks Christa is a beautiful person inside and out.
Its true - you should hire and pay those who do what they do. It would take me 100 times longer to do that something like that. My time is more valuable!
This is great stuff! I need to get my nose to the grindstone in regards to my fan page. Thanks for sharing!
Missy, I just can't keep up with all of this technology. I appreciate the info and I'll look into that.
Hi Missy... it looks GREAT! I definitely will be looking into this.
Missy..i am really behind the times..I have been so busy ..have not but my face on facebook..:0(
Missy - I bet my wife will be looking at adding the feature to her FB tomorrow at 4 am. It is great to be able to exposure as much as possible what you do. Good deal.
Missy,
I read "Mary McKnight" and just yesterday there was an excellent post by Debe Maxwell about her and the job she does. Very impressive indeed
...now that makes a little more sense of these fan pages ! Cheers Missy !
Missy, I"ve seeing a few of these custimized FB Fan pages, yours look great.
By the way, you may want to check the link to your FB page for Ann Arbor Real Estate Talk, you left out the TALK
Missy, She does an incredible job from what I"ve seen. I am having her do mine this week also! Should be fun :) Yours looks great!
Missy,
So much to do and so little time....I appreciate you passing on her info....I will bookmark!
the A2breakingnews link is broken
nevermind, looks like facebook is down, guess you sent too much traffic
Missy - Fantastic job, and I would be surprised if this didn't generate a lot of business for you.
Hi Missy - Looks good. I should probably add another fan page for my area, but I've got too much going right now to figure out how I want to set it up. Maybe one of these days, but like you, I do try to spend much of my time actually selling houses!
I have spent a ton of time "figuring this stuff out." I have given 2 seminars to my business sphere and they love it. Check out my tips on my YouTube Channel I hope anyone here finds these helpful!
I have been doing everything myself and just can't keep up - so I am definitely going to outsource some of it - at least setting these up - haven't created fan pages - want to get a customized Posterous blog and so much more - I will check them out as I sort out all that I want to get done this year. Thanks.
Hi Missy -- Wow, over my head, I am a FB newbie. Boy do I have a lot to learn.
OMG, Missy...that's fantastic. I need some help with getting my Facebook fan page really set up the way I want it to. I'll hav to take some upcoming vacation time to invest in this...definitely.
Hey Missy. You know I LOVE this...
Thanks for writing.
You know I will try and learn, but if all else fails...
Your friends have done an awesome job.
Thanks for writing,
Ken
Thanks for the tip, Missy! I haven't started a fan page yet on fb, I just have my personal one. I need to get busy!
It is often better to let those who are know what they are doing do it. It's a good reminder to delegate or outsource.
Missy - thanks for sharing your great tips as always, I like the idea about the news site and am working with Mike Mueller on a custom Facebook page. I'd love to have my IDX on the page though.
This is good stuff Missy. I had no idea this could be done on FaceBook.
Missy, great information. Thanks for shareing and I agree to pay for what you don't have to do or others do better. It leaves us time to do "what we do best"
Missy: Thank you for this! I've got a page but have been wondering what to do with it. I now know. You are terrific!
Thank you so much! I paid someone else who is in AR to set up my business page but can not get him to help me... I need to be able to edit it and change it and he just wont give me any help... I would like to know how to go to the next step so thank you so much for this timely tip!
After reading two posts on the work that Mary McKnight does I will have to check into this for myself.
Missy - Thanks for the great information. I recently started an area fanpage on FB, but it is in desperate need of some work. I will certainly look into this.! Have a great day!
Missy:
It looks like Mary does a wonderful job with this. It is good of you to spread the word on her services.
Thanks Missy!!! I think the idea of a fan page can be overwhelming - there is a time committment that most people can't really commit to if they are busy agents. But your page strikes a great balance - you have your listings updated from Realtor.com through the seemylistings ap, some of your other social networking updates auto post to the page, you have an about area and the listing page. Couple that with great original content about the town and the market and you have a winning page that doesn't take up a ton of your time. Your page is a great example of no nonsense, no fuss functionality and aesthetics. Glad to have been a part of it.
I love the welcome pages, but these IDX inserts into a page really do make a difference!

Matt, I updated the link, thanks for the heads up. I should have checked it, when I posted this and went to bed.
Mary, thanks for you help and being available when I needed a few tweeks.
Folks we can't do it all...invest in your business and get the help you need to enhance your presence. Time vs Money.
Just had Mary update my Facebook fanpage yesterday..it looks great and was so worth the time that I saved.
I am still trying to figure out if Facebook is the best place for "selling" real estate. It seems to be working for a lot of people.
Missy, thanks for sharing this. I have a personal page that I use for marketing but haven't used a fan/business page because there wasn't anything special about them. You have changed my mind and I've already sent your blog to several real estate agents.
Missy, I am getting my breaking news up this week with the fan page for it too. You have certainly lead the field on that and congratulations on some great marketing.
Looks great. Makes sense doing what you do best and let others do what they do best. Great advise and good luck
Missy. this is great information and I am actually working on some of this myself.. and I have had the pleasure of meeting both Mary and Pat in person. I actually ran into Pat in Starbucks while in NYC that morning... he was in front of me in line.. lol He turned around and said, hey Jeff... hell, I hadn't seen him in like 2 years.. lol In any case, good stuff.
Missy,
Brilliant sharing. I have to get to work on my facebook stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Hope you are having an awesome day!
All the best, Michelle
Missy, you are a great person for sharing such info. I look forward to looking like the professional I truly am on my facebook page. Thanks a million lady!
Missy, I agree we can't do it all...I have wasted so much time trying to figure out FB. I will now take your advice and have already emailed both Mary and Pat...thanks for the push!!!
2010 is going to my year to delegate more and focus on what I do best and love to do most. Perfect example of delegation and reaping the rewards of a smart business decision.
Shoot. I love Mary but didn't know she was doing the FB pages. Thanks for the update!
Missy I love your facebook page! Great job on all of your hard work!
Missy - this is great information.. I too have a fan page up but have not integrated a home search. What a terrific idea... We too got to meet your daughter at Rain Camp in NYC recently.. you must be very proud..
Missy, Thanks for this post. Both Mary & Pat are some of my favorite reads with reference to their blogs. Great stuff! Love what you're doing with the Ann Arbor site. You're way ahead of the game. :)
Thanks for a great post, Missy. Your really give some great tips for using multiple fan pages and for getting help to set them up right. I am so imporessed that i am rebloggging you AND including some of your tips in a post I am doing. See Do You Need A Social Media Parent?
What an awesomre thing to share your resource! I will definitely be calling....
Missy, thanks for the post. great information to digest for a lot of us.
Missy: Great post! I requested Mary to make 'welcome' page for me too. And I LOVE IT!!! Please take a look at her wonderful job!

Thanks!!
Missy - I swear I can't keep up. I am ordering one. Thanks for the heads-up
Missy:
I read one of your comments on Agent Genius ---- I am so surprised that you have the time, to spare to go to other websites..
I am fascinated by the Wolfnet Integration. Going to check this out. Thanks for posting.
Missy, Thanks for the inspiration and education to do more!
Missy, you always have the most informative blogs. I admire the work you do on your blog!
Nice Job Missy, I can see I've got lot's of work to do on my Facebook page.
Bill
Terrific job done on the fan page. I've been wanting to do something like this on mine for quite a while. When I first attempted to use Static FMBL I somehow messed it up so it didnt't work. I may need to get a hold of your friends here soon. Thanks for posting, it gives me hope.
Missy, it looks fabulous!!
I'm psyched!! Mary is just putting the finishing touches on mine carrying over my branding info to the Facebook page! I love it!
I love it! I need to enhance my facebook profile asap...
Thanks for sharing!
Missy - The synapses are firing a bit off range with Mary, but the proof is in the pudding. She's worth her weight in marketing, and then Belonger some. She is to Social Marketing what Jose Canseco is to taking a needle in the ass. If there is somebody out there thinking about hiring her (Mary, not Jose), they should stop thinking ... and hire her.
Ooooh! Totally WICKED!!!! That's kid lingo for way cool! I hope your Fan page brings you lots and lots of business in 2010! I'm off to fan you!
Thanks for sharing - as a lender I am having a little bit of a harder time sharing on my FaceBook Fan Page - I'm trying to find meaningful content other then just re-posting my blogs there.
Great move Missy. It is smart of you to have multiple Facebook fan pages in place!
Super knowledge -- appreciated the great tips!
