Today, we went and shot a round and I was pitiful. This is the first time I have played in four years. I broke my finger catching a pass at the Lloyd Carr Women’s Football Camp in 2004, had surgery and just haven’t been able to play. But, today I had a few family members begging me to play so I did.
Golf fees at Brookside are:
$32 green fees* on weekends
$25 green fees* on weekdays
$20 twilight fees*
* includes golf cart where available
There are over 23 Golf Courses in and around Ann Arbor. If you enjoy golf this is the place to come. I’ve probably played on most of them at one time or another. Just in case you think I am a golfer, the answer is “No”. I do enjoy playing in the Saline Chamber of Commerce fund raiser and other charity events but that is about it.
Brookside is a fun place to play, beautiful course and I enjoy looking at all the homes around the course. Ponds, creeks, and beautiful trees is another reason I like being on the course. (Plus it is 5 minutes to my house)

It was rainy here so I didn't get a chance to play this weekend. I will play Wednesday instead. I have been playing since I was 9 and I only wish I could have been good enough to play on tour.
I hope you had fun and you will get out and play more often.
How was your open house? I had one customer and a broker.
The important thing was - did you have fun. I went bowling every week over the winter with my office - we had 2 teams in a bowling league.
I literally stunk. I was the 2nd worst player there (the worst one and I were actually pretty close...I had a slightly higher average than her so that's how I decided I was 2nd place...lol). BUT WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! We laughed, we cheered, we high-fived if you knocked down one pin.
Hope you had a great time Missy!
Jay, I had fun, but the weather was cloudy, then the sun came out, then it rained, then the sun came out. I took my sweatshirt off and on every other hole. I played horrible on the first 3 holes. Finally got my swing back to slower and quite missing the ball. I had not played in four years but I was shocked how terrible I was. I almost got in the cart and quite.
Karen, I had fun being with my husband, daughter and her BF. I don't love golf, but I play when necessary. I'll do a few fund raisers this season, for networking. LOL
Missy, I took lessons but never really "got it" maybe someday I'll try again.
This is my kind of post. We have a few nice courses in Nashville that you probably already know about. THe next time you are in town, we should go play a round.
So where are the photos of Missy on the course or hitting the ball?????
I used to play A LOT! But haven't played for over 20 yrs - would hate to see how bad it would be now. I'll blame it on the WHOLE body not just a finger. ;-)
Missy,
Not that you or I are old, but age makes a difference...my once strong right arm was blown out at our first little league practice and is now like a wet noodle...I can't even throw across the living room overhand...!!! LOL Thanks, Fran
P.S. Hey, you're geting good at that video stuff!!!
Missy- I finally gave up on the sport when I realized I could throw the ball farther than I could hit it off of the tee! That was after lessons too! I do think it can be an excellent networking activity though.
Best,
Scott
Looks like fun!
And I like the "Ken Burns Effect" on the video.
