Lani Anglin Rosales wrote a post on AgentGenius a few weeks ago on a program called Slide Rocket. It is a free alternative to Power Point. So I tried it out and found it really easy to use.
Tomorrow, Friday, October, 24th at 10:00, I am doing a Blogging Seminar at Keller Williams in Ann Arbor, so I created a slide presentation for it.
We are going to have a mystery Activerain Community Builder doing the seminar with me. Now to find out who it is you will have to go and read my Ann Arbor Real Estate Talk blog. While you are there, I would love it if you can subscribe to my blog either by RSS or email.
I've had the opportunity to speak several times on blogging at different places. The hard part is that you have people with all degrees of where they are. Some are just starting and some want deeper knowledge on how to get better SEO. So I will take the basics and our mystery AR Dude will take the more difficult topics.

Missy this looks like a a very good tool and I will check it out. As far as a mystery guest, it would be very cool if it was Brad or Rich! I attended the Rebar camp in Houston yesterday and met them. I cannot tell you how much I was impressed by BOTH of them on so many levels. They are a lot of fun and more importantly, they have a wealth of knowledge that they share in an open and easy to understand manner that benefits anyone lucky enough to have the opportunity of interacting with them. They are truly the driving force in the education and building the AR site as well as helping everyone learn more about connectiong all across the country. It was a great time and I hope your event goes well too!!

When I taught my "Blogging for Business" seminar I focused on the fundamentals of blogging as well as the main reason that I blog: Because buyers and sellers are turned off by the self-promotion tactics used for years by real estate professionals and blogging allows you to connect as a real person.

Missy - THis is a great start/ I'm having a weekly class for 2 hours in the Franklin Tn office. I average 10 to 15 people each week, and most people return. It's not the new agents who come, but the ones who see tha value of connecting with a larger crowd.
Missy, I wish you luck tomorrow on your seminar. Your slide show looks great!! We just had REBar Houston here and it was so much fun. It was great for all levels also.

Glad it sounds like it was awesome! (I tried sliderocket - did a whole presentation then it was freaking out when I tried to save it in case I lost internet - so I redid in PPT again :O )
