Congrats on 100 and the number 5 for Ann Arbor.
Columbus is 36. Thanks for the info on the list. I think I will have to blog about this on Columbus Best Blog but I will link to you!!!
I am not a Buckeye but I will be turning your gloating over #5 for Ann Arbor over to Elaine Reese, she is an OSU graduate. I am a misplaced Badger.
Hello Missy,
I have not been back to Ann Arbor for a long time.....I miss it and I miss Bo. U of M is an awsome school. I was invited last year to attend a game, but I couldn't make it. My sister and brother go to games all the time.....football that is. When I was a kid, my grandparents had a cottage in central Michigan, Grayling on Bear lake. Michigan as whole is a great state. Have you ever run into Ted Nugent?
I see Elaine on your MyBlogLog.com !!
I tried adding the recent readers to my Active Rain and obviously did something wrong. Gotta add that to the list.
Maureen told me I needed to jump in here, so ...
I didn't graduate from OSU, although I attended 3 quarters, then had a bad car accident. However, I worked to put my ex through OSU and he graduated from there. Then, we were active in the Marysville Alumni Assoc. afterward - he was Pres one year. Anne Hayes borrowed cigs from me when she spoke at one of our meetings, because Woody wouldn't let her smoke.
My claim to fame is that we attended every single home and Michigan game that Archie played. Got to see Woody tear up the yard markers. UGH!!!! The rivalry just hasn't been the same as it was with Woody & Bo.
Robert, I've been to Grayling ... some of my ex's relatives lived there and we visited once. Pretty country driving up there.
I wanted to include The Murph's "fight wolverines" photo but decided to not hijack your post. :-)
Hi Elaine, we can have some fun with this ! The rivalry is still huge, living in Ann Arbor, but we do miss Bo.
Maureen, I did start in December and I love it. The highlight of my day to sit and post, since the market is so horrible in Ann Arbor, I'm on a lot.
We'll have to get Randy, from Hawaii, to join in this fall. One of their players is expected to win the Heisman. He was runner-up to OSU this past fall. Karen, in Washington, is also a Buckeye fan.
Funny ... I personally don't know too many fans from that state up north. ;-D
Ann Arbor is the #1 place to live, especially if you're a big Wolverine's fan like me!
Go Blue. Maybe this Fall we can have an Active Rain tailgate party and root the Wolverines on to Victory!
Jim, Todd Waller and I are trying to plan a Michigan Activerain get-together soon.
I have also invited the Sellsius Bus to come here this summer.
Missy
Congrats on your 100th post. But watch out I'm only 86 behind. And as its been said here many times "GO BLUE".
BTW. Do you remember Bob Ufer? He was the best announcer ever.
A belated congrats. on post #100. I remember when Money Magazine ranked Ann Arbor #1 in the nation several years back. Ever since then I've had your area on my "travel to-do list."
